Pennsylvania is the global headquarters for NSTL. NSTL was established in 1983 and is the world's leading, independent technology testing organization. NSTL specializes in the testing and certification of mobile and wireless applications and devices. In total, NSTL manages more than 20 industry certification/logo programs including Designed for Microsoft Windows Mobile, Microsoft Mobile2Market, USB Implementers Forum, QUALCOMM TRUE BREW, Symbian Signed, and JavaVerified. NSTL's worldwide headquarters is located in suburban Philadelphia. In addition to the company's US locations, NSTL has operations throughout Asia and Europe, as well as India and Brazil. Major clients include QUALCOMM, Microsoft, Intel, Motorola, Nokia, Verizon, and Vodafone. NSTL was acquired by Intertek in September of 2007.
